Styling forward 1st round

i just completed my 1st walk for the styling forward contest and my look was based on a visit to the opera and i entitled it.”

The last act of madam butterfly.” I was lucky to make it into the next interview stage of the contest with maybe 40 other people, so now its a one in two chance of making it to the final 20 who make the televised show.The second rounds on september 18th and we have to style ourselves in black and white.

I wanted to capture the beauty and sadness of the final act , so i hope you like it !

May i introduce Ginger the latest in the limited edition skins by CStar.

The skins come in several tones and its worth being on the subscriber list if you wish to buy the most popular tan tone as this sells out within a day of release normally.

The sheen on the skin is beautiful and the shading around the bust and ass is so smooth and realistic it realy enhances your avatars look, well worth the investment.

At 1000 lindens for 2 transfer skins and 850 for 2 non transfer they really are good value.

For me, the only down side was the lips. Their strong outline and glossy pout, whilst beautiful, were very hard to get right and i still am not 100% sure i love it?

I think this tone/skin is better suited to brunettes than blondes despite its peachy tone..kinda dissappointing but true.

look for august

This was the look i put together for Miss Virtual World audition in  August.

 I decided to go for a very simple, elegant look as i felt so many girls were very over the top in their dresses and it was getting more like who could attach the most prims than a beauty contest. 

So ANYWAY, this is the look i went with. I think the contest more than anything helps me to focus my mind on a specific look that i want to create from scratch, normally as models we have to show what we are given and not what we genuinely love.

Opium Casting

Today i cast for the opium Agency, in front of 5 judges (trembles) it was very daunting but they were very kind.

It’s a great honor to be called back in the last 38 with over 100 applicants..so i am thrilled to have gotten this far.

The brief was to create a look that was either…Avante Garde chic,  work wear or vintage.

I kind of went for avant-garde with a twist of vintage, aiming for a marie-antoinette meets a dandy kind of look.

I combined items from L’abel, Leezu, Kalnin, Mandala, ccd and Mr S.

Had fun creating this look as styling is my passion and i hope if i get accepted to present more of my looks on the Opium Blog.. fingers and toes crossed.
